Itenary

Day 1
  • Day 1: Arrival in Maun – Transfer to Moremi (Xakanaxa Area)

    Fly into Maun; road (~3-5 hours) to your camp near Xakanaxa Lagoon. Afternoon game drive en route or upon arrival – spot elephants in mopane forests, red lechwe on floodplains, and giraffes. Settle into camp (dome tents or lodge); sundowners overlooking the lagoon. Campfire dinner with hippo calls

Day 2
  • Day 2: Full Day Exploration – Mokoro & Game Drives

    Early morning mokoro excursion – glide silently through reed channels for frog-eye views of hippos, crocs, sitatunga antelope, and vibrant birds (herons, kingfishers, bee-eaters). Brunch at camp. Afternoon game drive around Xakanaxa/Third Bridge – search for lions on the prowl, buffalo herds, and leopards in trees. Evening return with possible leopard sightings in the golden light

Day 3
  • Day 3: Water & Land Activities

    Dawn boat cruise – excellent for birding (migrant species breeding) and close encounters with elephants crossing channels. Afternoon game drive targeting predators (lions, wild dogs) or relax with lagoon views. Final bush dinner under the stars

Day 4
  • Day 4: Morning Activity & Departure

    Final early mokoro or game drive. Breakfast, then transfer back to Maun (flight or road) by midday.
