This 6-night/7-day itinerary (3 nights each in Savuti and the Mababe Depression) explores two of northern Botswana's most dramatic and predator-rich areas in Chobe National Park and adjacent private concessions. Savuti is legendary for its lion prides (famous for elephant hunts), hyenas, and the unpredictable Savuti Channel/Marsh. Mababe Depression (a vast ancient floodplain fed by the Khwai River outflow) boasts mega-herds of buffalo, zebra migrations, elephants, and predators like lions, leopards, wild dogs, and cheetahs—plus off-road driving, night drives, and walks in private concessions.

Day 1: Arrival in Kasane – Transfer to Savuti (Chobe National Park)
Pickup from Kasane Airport. Scenic road transfer south (~4-6 hours, game viewing en route) Savuti. Afternoon game drive into Savuti Marsh – spot large elephant herds, buffalo, and predators. Arrive at private campsite (mobile tented); sundowners, campfire dinner.

Days 2-3: Full Exploration of Savuti
Dawn and dusk game drives – target the Savuti Marsh Pride (lions often active), hyenas, cheetahs, and zebra/wildebeest herds on green plains. Visit ancient rock art sites, baobabs, and the (possibly flowing) Savuti Channel. Evenings: Thunderous skies, star-filled nights, and predator calls.

Day 4: Transfer to Mababe Depression
Morning game drive; transfer south (~3-5 hours, scenic with sightings through Mababe Gate area) or short flight. Enter private Mababe concession; afternoon game drive across vast floodplains – mega buffalo herds, elephants, and predators. Settle into exclusive campsite, bush dinner.
